13 Lviv-Based Companies Took Part in a Business Mission to Taiwan
20 Jun 2025

From June 16–20, 2025, a business mission took place in Taipei (Taiwan) as part of the “Ukraine Recovery Delegation 2025.” The delegation included 17 private Ukrainian companies, 13 of which were from Lviv, as well as representatives of the Lviv City Council, the First Lviv Medical Union, and the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster.

The business mission was co-organized by the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council in cooperation with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and its Ukrainian office. TAITRA provided financial support and covered the costs for delegation participants.

The delegation was represented by the following companies: the municipal industrial park Formatsia (Alterra Group), ProTec Logistic, Ajax Systems, Onur Group, Metalworkshop, VEEM Metalavtoprom, Pozhmashina, Kaver Energy Plus, ABMK, Ammolit Plus, BIT-Group, Komservis, ALTERENERGY, and companies from the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster. The companies represented sectors such as infrastructure, energy, mechanical engineering, electronics, metalworking, and military technologies (miltech).

The central event of the visit was the “Ukraine Reconstruction Cooperation Briefing” conference, which gathered over 170 participants. During the conference, representatives of the Lviv City Council, the First Lviv Medical Union, and the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster gave presentations on resilience and recovery using Lviv as an example, as well as on the city’s economic situation, current investment projects, and the development of the MilTech, medical, and rehabilitation industries. Ukrainian business representatives also held a series of pre-arranged B2B meetings with Taiwanese companies.

The business mission also included visits to leading Taiwanese companies, including international computer corporation ASUS, investment and construction corporation TCC Group, electronics company MiTAC, energy company Voltronic Power, machinery manufacturers OSCAR MAX, Victor Taichung, Accutex, several miltech companies, and the hospital of Taipei Medical University.

During the visit, previous agreements were reaffirmed and the next steps of cooperation with TAITRA were agreed upon — namely, the organization of a Taiwanese business mission to Lviv later this year.

The Lviv City Council and the delegation participants express their gratitude to TAITRA for the invitation, hospitality, and partnership in organizing the business mission to Taiwan.

It is worth noting that in March 2025, the Mayor of Lviv announced the upcoming visit of Lviv companies to Taiwan. During the mayor’s visit to Taiwan, agreements were also reached regarding the implementation of digital solutions for Lviv hospitals, particularly in the field of medical data storage and exchange. Earlier, in December 2024, Lviv signed a grant agreement with Taiwan for €5 million for the reconstruction of the rehabilitation center on Pekarska Street.
