Yuko Yasunaga, Deputy Director-General of UNIDO — United Nations Industrial Development Organization, visited the city to continue cooperation within the framework of the Green Industrial Recovery Program for Ukraine (2024–2028). It is aimed at implementing new approaches to production, attracting investments and creating jobs.

During meetings with the mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyi, and the head of Lviv Invest, Andriy Pavliv, they discussed the development of green industry, the introduction of innovative technologies and the creation of enterprises that combine environmental friendliness and economic efficiency.

Special attention was paid to the work of the Japan Desk Lviv, which operates on the basis of the Investment and Project Management Department of the City Council. This municipal business service, created with the support of UNIDO, helps Ukrainian and Japanese companies find partners, investments and exchange technologies

As part of the visit, the UNIDO delegation visited the UNBROKEN center, where they got acquainted with the rehabilitation programs of veterans and people who are rebuilding their lives thanks to the support of projects funded by Japan.

Also, at the “Walnut house”, the delegation met women and young entrepreneurs supported by UNIDO – they presented their businesses and told how, thanks to training programs and support, they are developing their own businesses.
