During Lviv Resilience Day in Gdańsk, held ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Lviv City Council, the School of Municipal Governance at UNBROKEN University, and the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The document marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening communities and enhancing municipal leadership in Ukraine.

The new program is designed to increase the capacity of Ukrainian communities to attract investment, develop international partnerships, and implement modern approaches to economic development.

Within the framework of cooperation, the parties will work on developing educational programs for local self-government bodies, engaging international experts and business representatives, and organizing study visits, internships, and exchange programs between Ukraine and the Czech Republic. A particular focus will be placed on promoting effective practices in economic development and investment policy.

The Memorandum was signed by First Deputy Mayor – Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Andriy Moskalenko, Director of the School of Municipal Governance at UNBROKEN University Ostap Protsyk, and President of the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Michaela Macharik.

“Municipalities must now speak the language of business and compete for investment. This program connects municipalities, academia, and business to build a new economic culture for Ukraine,” said Ostap Protsyk.

As part of Lviv Resilience Day, the President of the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also participated in the panel discussion “Investments During Wartime.”

In addition, for URC 2026, the Chamber facilitated one of the largest organized foreign business missions, reaffirming its commitment to long-term partnership with Ukraine and support for its economic recovery.
