Photo Exhibition About Ukraine Opens in Riga to Support the UNBROKEN Rehabilitation Center in Lviv
17 Oct 2026

A photo exhibition titled Ukraine’s DNA. 100 Days on the Road has opened in the Latvian capital. Over the next three months, the project will raise funds for the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN in Lviv.

The exhibition opened on 14 October near the Origo shopping centre in Riga. Its author is Latvian travel journalist Jānis Grandāns, who spent more than 100 days in Ukraine and travelled thousands of kilometres documenting the life of the country. His photographs capture Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa, the Carpathians and other Ukrainian cities and natural landscapes.

The project has a charitable purpose as well as a cultural one. Over the three months, the organisers, together with the Latvian charity platform Ziedot.lv, will raise funds for the National Rehabilitation Centre UNBROKEN in Lviv, which helps Ukrainians injured as a result of the war to recover.

“Initiatives like this help tell the world about Ukraine through personal stories, culture and the everyday lives of people. At the same time, they turn interest in our country into tangible support for Ukrainians who need rehabilitation. For Lviv, it is important to develop international partnerships that not only promote the city abroad but also help attract resources for the recovery of people affected by the war,” said Andrii Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of Lviv City Council.

The exhibition Ukraine’s DNA. 100 Days on the Road will run until 14 January 2027. It aims to draw the international community’s attention to Ukraine and to attract additional support for the rehabilitation of Ukrainians.
