NEFCO continues to finance projects despite the war
27 Aug 2024

On August 27, Ulf Boyo, Vice President of NEFCO for Eastern Europe, visited Lviv to assess the status of projects funded by the financial organization. During his visit, Ulf Boyo met with Lviv City Mayor Andriy Sadovyy, toured the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center, and reviewed the progress of the construction of new social housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). The NEFCO Vice President also learned about the construction process of a solid waste recycling plant and a biogas station at the treatment facilities.

It is important to note that the first social housing building began in December 2023 and is planned to be completed by the end of this year. The overall project, with a budget of 19.5 million euros, includes the construction of eight buildings. The project is funded under the “Housing for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the Restoration of Liberated Cities in Ukraine” program, which is financed by the European Union and implemented under NEFCO’s management.
