Take Care About Building Initiative: New Participants Join the Reconstruction of Lviv
15 Oct 2024

The “Take Care About Building” campaign continues, and the Lviv City Council is calling on Ukrainian and international businesses, as well as charitable organizations, to join in and help restore buildings destroyed by the enemy.

Among the companies and organizations that will help rebuild buildings destroyed by russian missiles on September 4, 2024, are:

  • ATB-Market – UAH 11.6 million for the reconstruction of the building at 44a Konovaltsia Street;
  • Kindgeek, ULAR Farming Group, Poner, and MARKQUEN will fund the replacement of wooden windows in two architectural heritage buildings at 7 and 18 Kvitky-Osnov’yanenko Street;
  • Young Business Club, charitable foundation “Ukrainian Development Fund” – UAH 1 million for replacing wooden windows in an architectural heritage building at 14 Kokorudza Street.

Currently, approximately 40 participants have joined the “Take Care About Building” initiative. These include various organizations, businesses, and foreign donors. They are taking specific buildings under their care and helping to restore them.

Importantly, the city is not organizing a general fundraising campaign but inviting participants to adopt a specific building and fund its restoration.

To join the “Take Care About Building” initiative, companies must contact the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council. They will provide information on the types of work that can be supported financially, including restoring roofs, facades, windows, and more.

Let us recall that during the massive attack on Lviv on September 4, russian forces damaged 189 buildings. These include historical heritage buildings, residential houses, and schools. In addition, eight Lviv residents tragically lost their lives due to the attacks.
