As part of continued cooperation between the Lviv City Council and the Lithuanian government, seven artists painted a mural in Lviv
05 Jul 2024

Over the course of six days, seven artists from Lithuania, the USA, and Ukraine worked on creating murals on Chornomorska Street in Lviv. The initiator of the artistic project was the cultural attaché of the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine, Tomas Ivanauskas. This project is a continuation of the cooperation between the government of Lithuania and the Lviv City Council.

The creation of the mural in Lviv takes place within the framework of the “Malonny” project (which stands for Marijampolė, London, and New York) – a permanent festival of street art and music and a creative symposium, which has been held in the Lithuanian city of Marijampolė since 2014. Each of the seven artists worked on their own mural, and their work also served as a master class for students from the Lviv Academy of Arts. The murals can already be seen on the playground on Chornomorska Street.

As part of their visit to Lviv, the artists and the cultural attaché of Lithuania in Ukraine, Tomas Ivanauskas, met with the team from the Investment and Project Management Department (Invest in Lviv) and discussed the continuation of cooperation on other projects, including the creation of the Unbroken Art Center.

We thank our partners Farba Service, LAYER Ukraine, and Fozzy Group for supporting this project!
