The event took place in London and gathered a large number of participants from the cities of Central and Eastern Europe.

The event took place in London and gathered a large number of participants from the cities of Central and Eastern Europe.
Roman Staretskyi, head of Lviv Investment Office, together with Oleksandr Kobzarev, the head of the City Institute / City Institute, were representing Lviv as the first city member of the Green Cities among Ukraine’s cities, Serhiy Kiral, Deputy of Ukrainian Parliament, presented the city’s experience in one of the forum panels and talked about new directions of investment support in urban infrastructure.
Due to the Green Cities program, the Bank has mobilized around 1 billion Euros for projects in 17 cities in 12 countries, one of which is Lviv City, which was included in the program concerning the solid waste management project.
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Green Cities is a programme that builds on the Bank’s extensive experience in investing into transformative municipal infrastructure. It has three central components:
Also during July, 13-18 were held number of workshops that aimed to present the current findings of the Plan with regard to each sector. This was followed with a discussion of the city’s 2035 vision and the strategic objectives corresponding to it.
A broad group of stakeholders participating in the workshops including city representatives, NGOs, industry, academia representatives and other relevant experts. The results of the workshops will be used to further GCAP development.
