On November 17, 2023, the Lviv City Council signed an investment agreement with Lviv IT Cluster to implement a project to create a Research Center for engineering students, which will be located in a historic three-story building built in the mid-nineteenth century. To implement the project, the building needs to be completely reconstructed.
As a result of the project, the abandoned communal building should become a modern research space with 11 laboratories, open spaces, lecture halls, and meeting rooms. Access to the Center’s laboratories and supplies will be free for students 24/7. Mentoring will be provided by experts from the top company Lviv IT Cluster.
The project is supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (CEP). The USAID grant assistance will include technical studies of the building and an open architectural competition to develop a concept for the reconstruction of the building and a branding strategy for the project.
The next stage of the project will be an open architectural competition.
