At IT Arena 2025 — the largest technology conference in Central and Eastern Europe — the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council (Invest in Lviv), together with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), presented Japan Desk Lviv, the first municipal support service for Japanese business in Ukraine.
The presentation of Japan Desk Lviv took place at the joint Invest in Lviv and JETRO booth, which became one of the most visited locations at the conference. Over the three days of IT Arena, the team held around 25 meetings and presentations with representatives of leading international companies and innovative startups, including PwC, Deloitte, HIMERA, and Rakuten Viber.
Japan Desk Lviv aims to foster partnerships between Japanese companies and Lviv’s business ecosystem by providing consulting, analytical, and organizational support for investors from Japan.
“We see significant interest from Japanese companies in the Ukrainian technology market. The presentation of Japan Desk Lviv at IT Arena became an important step toward building a long-term economic partnership between Japan and Ukraine,” said Andriy Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council.
The launch of Japan Desk Lviv opens new opportunities for innovative cooperation, technology exchange, and investment attraction, strengthening Lviv’s position as a hub for international business and technology in Eastern Europe.
