19 May 2025

The Community Forum took place in Kyiv, bringing together representatives from 20 territorial communities across Ukraine. Participants shared their experiences in developing recovery strategies, conducting risk assessments, and implementing anti-corruption programs.

Lviv was represented at the forum by Andriy Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council. In his presentation, he outlined the city’s strategic development priorities during the full-scale war. Key focus areas included strengthening the city’s resilience, supporting local businesses, developing rehabilitation infrastructure, and preparing for post-war recovery.

The forum featured discussions on the challenges communities face when updating strategic documents, as well as successful cases of project implementation and securing funding. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, receive expert advice, and establish intermunicipal cooperation.

The event was held within the framework of the project “Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine”, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Ukraine) with financial support from the Government of Japan. The forum was organized in partnership with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, PwC Ukraine, and the NGO “Institute for the Development of Social Innovations.”
