On August 5-7, Mayors of the German towns of Murnau am Staffelsee and Grossweil, which have provided significant humanitarian support, visited Lviv for the first time. These two small towns in Upper Bavaria created the charity fund “Das Blaue Land hilft Ukraine” at the beginning of the war. As part of this initiative, 46 generators were purchased for schools and kindergartens in Lviv, along with medical instruments and equipment for the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center and prosthetic workshop, as well as 6 ambulances for the First Medical Association of Lviv.

During their visit to Lviv, Mayor Rolf Beuting of Murnau am Staffelsee and Mayor Frank Bauer of Grossweil toured the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center, the prosthetics and orthotics center, the “UNBROKEN Mothers” center, social housing for injured Ukrainians, and other facilities within the UNBROKEN ecosystem. Following their visit, the mayors of the German municipalities expressed their continued support for UNBROKEN projects, collaboration between medical institutions, and the potential for physician internships in Germany.
