The forum was opened by First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko, who emphasized the strategic importance of the automotive industry for the city and the region. He noted that during wartime, industrial development and mobility technologies play a crucial role as drivers of economic recovery.

The Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council also participated in the event. Deputy Head of the Office Oleh Veklyn presented Lviv’s investment opportunities, highlighting the importance of developing industrial ecosystems and creating favorable conditions for new manufacturing.

Throughout the day, participants discussed the most pressing topics for the sector, including:

  • the development and strengthening of the cluster model;

  • digital transformation of production and innovations (eDIH);

  • support for startups and industrial innovations;

  • prospects for electromobility;

  • investments during wartime and business needs;

  • stories of resilience from Ukrainian manufacturers who continue to operate despite wartime challenges.

The forum brought together representatives of numerous international organizations and institutions, including the European Commission, IOM, VDA, EACN, EIT Urban Mobility, as well as European partner clusters and SME support programs. They emphasized the growing importance of the Ukrainian automotive industry in shaping new European industrial ties and supply chains.

Participants also highlighted Ukraine’s strong potential in the mobility sector and Lviv’s significance as a platform for the development of innovation and partnerships.

The Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Forum 2025 was organized by the Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through KfW.

The forum demonstrated that despite wartime challenges, Ukraine’s automotive industry continues to grow, while Lviv is strengthening its position as a center of innovation, partnerships, and investment attraction.
