Lviv City Council and Board Business Community Discuss Investment and Business Support During Wartime

On January 21, Lviv City Council hosted a meeting with entrepreneurs from the Board Lviv business community—owners and executives of companies in manufacturing, development, healthcare, creative industries, e-commerce, and the service sector. The focus of the discussion was the city’s economic priorities, investment policy, and practical tools for supporting businesses during the war.

The meeting became part of a systematic dialogue between the city authorities and the business community aimed at developing Lviv as an economic hub in western Ukraine.

Economic Strategy in Wartime

First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko spoke about the city’s approach to shaping economic priorities. According to him, the key objectives remain maintaining economic activity, preserving jobs, and creating conditions for attracting investment even during the full-scale war.

Inna Svystun, Director of the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council, presented the city’s approach to entrepreneurship development and overall economic policy. She emphasized the importance of partnership with businesses and adapting municipal programs to entrepreneurs’ needs.

Investment and Cooperation with Business

Andriy Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of Lviv City Council, spoke about Lviv’s investment opportunities and cooperation with Ukrainian and foreign companies. The discussion covered investor support, the development of industrial parks, assistance to relocated businesses, and the city’s participation in international projects.

Practical support instruments for entrepreneurs were presented by Yuliia Trokhymchuk, Head of a Unit within the Department for Economic Development. In particular, she outlined the business voucher program and other mechanisms for stimulating entrepreneurial activity.

Dialogue with the Business Community

The meeting was attended by representatives of Elektrod Ukraine, Tec-3, Timirsun, Kulyinychi, Podorozhnyk, Alef Clinic, Shumilov Estate, Jelly Bar, Grafix, Ekoatmosfera, Radium, DK Business Group, RichHills, FG4U, Lead-Up, Impero Group, Eko-Khlib, COLLABA, Syr ta Vyno, and other companies operating in Ukraine and abroad.

Entrepreneurs discussed current challenges with city officials, including those related to the war, business relocation, access to financing, and workforce issues.

International Context

Board is an international business community of owners and CEOs that brings together more than 2,300 entrepreneurs in 40 countries for experience sharing, strategic networking, and business development.

The visit was organized at the initiative of Lviv City Council member Volodymyr Marusiak and the team of the Investment and Projects Office of Lviv City Council (Invest in Lviv).

According to the organizers, such meetings are part of the city’s long-term strategy to build a stable business environment and attract entrepreneurs who see Lviv not as a temporary location, but as a platform for long-term development.
