A delegation from Lviv participated in its second business mission to Taiwan as part of the Ukraine Reconstruction Delegation 2026 program, focusing on attracting investment and expanding cooperation in technology and innovation.

The delegation included Andriy Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council, Olena Savytska, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development and Head of the Economic Office, as well as representatives of Lviv-based companies working in the energy, manufacturing, technology, and defense-related sectors. The mission was organized with the support of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).

During a conference on Ukraine’s reconstruction, the Lviv team presented the city’s investment opportunities, shared insights into how the local economy continues to operate and adapt during wartime, and highlighted several projects already being implemented in partnership with Taiwan.

Among the key initiatives presented were:

• the reconstruction of the UNBROKEN Rehabilitation Center on Pekarska Street, supported by €5 million in funding from Taiwan;
• the SmartCare Lviv 2026–2029 program, which aims to modernize municipal hospitals and introduce advanced digital healthcare solutions;
• humanitarian assistance initiatives, including the delivery of 68 specialized rescue and medical vehicles to communities affected by the war.

The mission also focused on opportunities in manufacturing, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and defense and dual-use technologies, which were identified as promising areas for future cooperation and investment.

During the visit, the delegation met with Taiwanese companies and toured manufacturing facilities in the industrial, energy, and technology sectors to explore potential partnerships.

The next step will be to facilitate visits by Taiwanese businesses to Lviv, creating opportunities to deepen cooperation and launch new investment projects between partners in Ukraine and Taiwan.
