Lviv was visited by James Chih-Fan Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council , together with a delegation of the organization and representatives of leading Taiwanese media outlets.

During the visit, the delegation paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian defenders at the Field of Honor and took part in a memorial ceremony honoring fallen heroes at Market Square.

The Taiwanese representatives also visited the UNBROKEN Rehabilitation Center on Pekarska Street, which was restored with support from Taiwan. The guests learned more about the work of the UNBROKEN ecosystem and visited “Formatsia. Lviv” Industrial Park, as well as defense sector enterprises represented by IRON Cluster and Lviv IT Cluster.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy. The parties discussed the development of cooperation between Lviv and Taiwan, as well as opportunities for further partnership in the fields of rehabilitation, healthcare, digitalization, and economic development.

The visit demonstrated how the partnership between Lviv and Taiwan is already transforming into concrete projects — from supporting medical and rehabilitation infrastructure to advancing technological and economic initiatives.

The next step in strengthening cooperation will be the participation of the Lviv delegation in Taiwan Expo 2026, which will take place on 22–24 June in Warsaw. During the exhibition, Lviv will present its investment potential and opportunities for further cooperation with Taiwanese businesses.
