On 17 – 18 June 2026, the Lviv City Council’s Department of Economic Development, in partnership with the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC), Innovation Norway, and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, hosted the Norwegian-Ukrainian Business Forum in Lviv.

The Forum brought together more than 250 participants, including nearly 100 representatives of the Norwegian delegation and over 150 Ukrainian companies, creating a dynamic platform for business dialogue, investment opportunities, and long-term partnerships.

The event welcomed high-level representatives of the diplomatic community and government, including Vegard Grøslie Wennesland, State Secretary of the Government of Norway, Lars Ragnar Hansen, Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine, and representatives of Innovation Norway.

“What we are doing today is an investment in Ukraine’s future,” emphasized State Secretary Vegard Grøslie Wennesland during the Forum’s opening ceremony.

A keynote address was also delivered by Yehor Perelyhin, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, who outlined the country’s key priorities for economic recovery, highlighted the importance of international partnerships, and set the stage for the Forum’s discussions.

The Forum featured thematic panel discussions covering energy, healthcare, defence industry, construction, agriculture, and aquaculture. Participants also took part in B2B meetings between Norwegian and Ukrainian companies, as well as site visits to local enterprises.

The Norwegian-Ukrainian Business Forum sent a strong signal of confidence from Norwegian partners in Ukraine’s economic resilience and future potential. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing war, Norwegian businesses demonstrated a clear willingness to invest, launch joint projects, and establish long-term partnerships in Ukraine.

According to the post-event survey, 42% of respondents indicated a high likelihood of establishing cooperation with Norwegian companies within the next 12 months. The sectors generating the greatest interest for future collaboration were energy, healthcare, and the defence industry, reflecting shared priorities for Ukraine’s reconstruction and sustainable economic development.
