On November 14, the Lithuanian delegation, led by Minister of Health Aurimas Pečkauskas, Minister’s Advisor Jurgvita Kideryenė, and Deputy Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Donatas Butkus, visited the Unbroken Rehabilitation Center in Bryukhovychi.

The Lithuanian government has allocated €5.6 million for the reconstruction and expansion of the center, enabling the creation of a 9,000-square-meter modern rehabilitation facility with 106 beds, a swimming pool, and specialized areas. The project is also supported by the Japanese Red Cross (€2.5 million) and GIZ Ukraine (€2.5 million). The Investment and Projects Office (Invest in Lviv) is the project coordinator on behalf of the Lviv City Council.

“This assistance from Lithuania is more than just financial support; it is a symbol of true friendship and unity, which is so vital for us today. We sincerely thank the Lithuanian people for their stance and help during these challenging times,” said Lviv City Mayor Andriy Sadovyy, personally expressing gratitude to international colleagues.

The medical rehabilitation center in Bryukhovychi is a unique facility for recovery, located in a recreational area near Lviv. Currently, the center has 70 beds, but after reconstruction, the number will increase to 100. Reconstruction work will commence in the near future.

Additionally, Lithuanian specialists are developing a comprehensive rehabilitation program for veterans, which will involve Lithuanian, international, and Ukrainian rehabilitation experts. This program will be implemented in rehabilitation centers in Dnipro, Lviv, and Zhytomyr.
