Lviv City Council welcomes the delegation of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)
21 Mar 2025

On March 3-4, Lviv once again became an attractive city for Japanese investors. Representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), led by the Executive Director of JETRO Kyiv, Tetsuo Shibata, and the Director of the European Division of the Research and Analysis Department of JETRO in Ukraine, Asamoto Kuniya, discussed the prospects of attracting Japanese investments to Lviv. The visit was an important step towards expanding cooperation in key areas of Lviv’s economy.

Together with the Head of the Investment and Projects Office, Andriy Pavliv, and the President of the Danish Business Association, Lars Vestbjerg, they discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Lviv and Denmark, particularly in terms of attracting investments in new projects, as well as infrastructure development and creating a favorable business environment for international companies. Special attention was paid to joint initiatives in the fields of technology, ecology, and innovative solutions for the city, which could be important for the development of Lviv’s economy.

It is worth noting that this is already the third visit of JETRO to Lviv in 2025. The first visit took place in January, when JETRO representatives met with the Lviv City Mayor, Andriy Sadovyy, toured industrial parks and projects in Lviv, and discussed the city’s investment opportunities.
