Lviv has been included in the prestigious international ranking of fDi Intelligence the category of the best cost-effective European cities fDi’s Mid-Sized European Cities of the Future 2024

fDi European Cities and Regions of the Future 2024 is an annual international ranking organized by fDi Intelligence from the Financial Times Group.

Lviv’s success is based on proper strategic planning of the city’s development, availability of educated specialists in various fields, cooperation between local government and business, as well as support and trust of international partners. Lviv was ranked 8th in the fDi rating in the category “Mid-sized European cities. Cost-effectiveness”. The winner of this category was the city of Skopje (the capital of North Macedonia).

Cities and regions in this fDi rating were evaluated according to the following levels: large (over 4 million people), medium (from 1.5 to 4 million people), and small (less than 1.5 million people). The ranking data was based on 509 locations (330 cities, 141 regions, and 38 small towns) in five categories: economic potential, human capital and lifestyle, economic efficiency, connectivity, and business friendliness.

Recall that in 2019-2020, Lviv was also ranked among the top 10 most cost-effective cities in the international FDi Intelligence rating in the Smart Locations of the Future category.
