The city showcased its experience of working with German investors at the presentation of the German-Ukrainian Business Outlook 2026, organized by KPMG Deutschland and the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine).

The event brought together more than 80 representatives of Ukrainian and German businesses, public authorities, and the expert community. During the panel discussion, participants explored the prospects of German-Ukrainian economic cooperation, the investment climate, and conditions for attracting investment to Ukraine.

The discussion featured Nikolai Kiskalt, Partner at KPMG in Germany; Markus Kollau, CEO Krombert & Schubert Ukraine; Halyna Vasylchenko, MP and Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy; and Andrii Pavliv, Head of the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council. The session was moderated by Rainer Perau, CEO of AHK Ukraine.

Presenting Lviv’s experience, Andrii Pavliv noted: “Lviv remains open to international business and continues to strengthen cooperation with investors, adapting to new challenges. This year, together with AHK Ukraine, we launched the German Desk service to simplify interaction between German businesses and the city. At the same time, we are improving investor support tools and making business conditions more transparent and efficient. Our goal is not only to attract new investments but also to ensure the long-term presence of businesses in Lviv.”

The results of the German-Ukrainian Business Outlook 2026, based on a survey of 102 German companies, demonstrate sustained confidence of international business in Ukraine: 38% of respondents plan to expand their activities, while nearly two-thirds are considering investment after the war. Among Ukraine’s key advantages, companies highlighted the potential of the domestic market, a skilled workforce, and a high level of digitalization.
