ДетальнішеDuring Lviv Resilience Day held in Gdańsk ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), the Lviv City Council and the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine) signed a memorandum of cooperation providing for the establishment of German Desk Lviv.
The new service will operate within the Investment and Projects Office of the Lviv City Council (Invest in Lviv) and will serve as a single entry point for German companies already operating in Lviv or considering the city as an investment destination. The initiative will be coordinated by Project Manager Marta Koloshko.
German Desk Lviv will provide support to German companies and facilitate stronger cooperation between businesses and the city.
The memorandum was signed by First Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Andriy Moskalenko and CEO of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine) Rainer Perau.
Today, several German companies are already operating in Lviv, including Kreisel, LEONI, and Bader Ukraine. The launch of German Desk Lviv aims to strengthen existing partnerships and attract new companies. Further evidence of growing interest includes recent business missions of German companies in the construction and medical technology sectors to Lviv.
Cooperation between Lviv and Germany also extends to healthcare and rehabilitation. Within the UNBROKEN ecosystem, projects in medical infrastructure and professional training are being implemented in collaboration with GIZ and German cities. In addition, the city continues to develop its partnership with Düsseldorf.
German Desk Lviv is expected to further enhance Ukrainian-German cooperation in business and investment.
