During the meeting with Lviv’s First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko, Director of the Economic Development Department Inna Svystun, her Deputy Oleksandra Sladkova, and Head of the Investment and Projects Office Andriy Pavliv, the following topics were discussed:

  • Challenges and projects in Lviv during the war
  • Development of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation ecosystem
  • Environmental and renewable energy projects
  • Strategic investment, technological, medical, and environmental projects
  • Development of industrial parks and support for relocated businesses

Special attention was given to the social housing construction project in Lviv, for which the European Commission allocated nearly €20 million in grant funding. The first of eight buildings was completed and furnished in February this year.

“This project could serve as a pilot for many Ukrainian cities in need of social and affordable housing development,” noted Gabriel Blanc.

The delegation also visited:

  • UNBROKEN Center – to learn about the rehabilitation process for wounded soldiers and civilians
  • Construction of the solid waste recycling plant and biogas station
  • Meeting with representatives of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association (EBA) and the Head of UCU Business School

Together, we are working to ensure that Lviv remains a city of opportunities, even in the most challenging times.
