On July 12, representatives of the Lithuanian government agency CPVA visited Lviv to implement the reconstruction project of the rehabilitation center in the village of Bryukhovychi.

As part of the visit of the Lithuanian government delegation, a meeting was held with Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyy, during which the mayor presented the UNBROKEN Ukraine ecosystem as an exemplary model of rehabilitation in Ukraine, which contributes to quality reforms in the medical field of the city of Lviv. As part of the grant program of the Lithuanian government, the leaders of the spinal cord injury rehabilitation center of the Dnipro University Hospital also took part in the meeting.

Members of the delegation visited the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center and held an on-site meeting regarding the center’s reconstruction project in Bryukhovychi. The project financed by Lithuania involves the reconstruction of the existing center by adding two new buildings, which will have 106 beds for rehabilitation and a modern swimming pool.

We will remind you that the Lithuanian government will allocate 5.6 million euros for the reconstruction of the UNBROKEN center in Bryukhovychy for the rehabilitation of Ukrainians who suffered from the war. The Invest in Lviv team has attracted this financing and fully supports this project.

In general, during the three-day visit, the participants got acquainted with the system of rehabilitation services of the UNBROKEN center, in particular, mental rehabilitation. They also shared the experience of providing rehabilitation services for colleagues from Dnipro. The final part of the visit was the development of an internship and training program for doctors and rehabilitators in Lviv, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr within the framework of the grant program of the Lithuanian government.
