The Center for Prosthetics in UNBROKEN Ukraine will be built in Lviv with the support of the German government and GIZ Ukraine

Today, a capsule for the construction of a prosthetics center was solemnly laid at UNBROKEN Ukraine. The project envisages the construction of a one-story multifunctional building with a total area of 1,000 square meters, which will include a room for prosthesis manufacturing, a classroom for training and research, rooms for fitting and testing prostheses by patients, and a patio for recreation. The workshop will be fully equipped with equipment for manufacturing prostheses for the upper and lower limbs. It will be able to produce about 700-1000 prostheses annually, as well as train future prosthetics. The building is designed for 40 workplaces.
The German government will fund the construction, equipment and training of prosthetics specialists. The city will provide the networking and partial landscaping. The total construction cost of the center is 2.7 million euros. The estimated completion date is May 2024.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the EU4ResilientRegions – Special Assistance Programme for Ukraine project and is being implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
