Nick Hartmann, Deputy Regional Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, and Christophoros Politis, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Ukraine, visited the National Rehabilitation Center “UNBROKEN” to review existing and plan new joint projects at the rehabilitation center.

Andriy Pavliv, Head of Lviv Investment Office, together with Volodymyr Fedorov, Deputy Director for Development and Investment Attraction of the First Lviv Territorial Medical Union, and Volodymyr Goncharuk, Technical Director, showed the dynamics of project implementation and development of the rehabilitation ecosystem of UNBROKEN Ukraine. As part of the ecosystem’s future development plans, they discussed the needs and potential projects in the areas of treatment, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and socialization of patients.

It is worth noting that five projects are being implemented at the rehabilitation center “UNBROKEN” in cooperation with UNDP, three of which are coordinated by the Lviv Investment Office team (Invest in Lviv):
– Creation of a center for relocated businesses in Lviv;
– Center for Promoting Employment and Self-Employment of People with Disabilities: to train patients of the rehabilitation center in hairdressing and prosthetics in cooperation with vocational schools;
– Purchase of equipment for the prosthetic workshop: a robot for 3D printing of stumps, a stationary scanner and 5 scanners for tablets;
– Two projects implemented in cooperation with Lviv and the Charitable Foundation Medical Innovations: purchase of medical equipment for the blind and rehabilitation equipment.
