On July 10, the new head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Ukraine and Moldova, Arvid Turkner, visited Lviv for the first time.

During the first working visit to Lviv, Arvid Turkner and his deputy Iryna Kravchenko met with the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, and the First Deputy Mayor, Andriy Moskalenko. The meeting took place at the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN Ukraine.

Mayor Andriy Sadovyi emphasized the uniqueness of the Unbroken project, which offers a wide range of services, including treatment, prosthetics, physical and psychological rehabilitation, housing, and reintegration assistance. Lviv is now becoming a model for providing rehabilitation medical services that are crucial for Ukraine’s recovery. The main focus of the meeting was on strengthening Lviv’s existing projects funded by the EBRD, as well as developing energy, medical, and inclusivity sectors.

Arvid Turkner expressed admiration for Lviv’s innovative projects and noted that the city’s cooperation with the EBRD would only strengthen in the future.

Additionally, Arvid Turkner reviewed the progress of the first phase of construction of the M10 Lviv Industrial Park. The EBRD has invested $5.5 million to finance the completion of the first phase of the M10 Lviv Industrial Park project. The total EBRD investment in the M10 Lviv Industrial Park project is $24.5 million.

It should be noted that Lviv is the largest partner of the EBRD among Ukrainian cities. In partnership with the EBRD, Lviv is implementing six projects in which the bank has invested €112.5 million. The coordination of these projects on behalf of the Lviv City Council is carried out by the Invest in Lviv team.
