New industrial park “Syhnivka” in Lviv will create 150 thousand sq.m of industrial squares, at least 3600 work places, will contain a business-incubator for startup-projects and will increase tax revenues to the city budget by approximately 250 million UAH per year.

The presentation of project and concept of municipal and industrial park “Syhnivka” in Lviv city was held in Lviv City Council.

There were the key conclusions of developed concept and plans of development of municipal industrial park “Syhnivka” on Pivnichna street in Lviv city presented during the event for representatives of local and regional authorities, private business, public sector, people’s deputies of Ukraine.

As the first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko said, the task of creating the IP “Syhnivka” in Lviv city consists in development of industrial production, development of small and medium-sized export-oriented enterprises, creating new work places, increasing the gross regional product, attraction of international experience, technologies, innovations and private investments in the city’s industry, and, as a consequence, provision of greater tax revenues to the city budget. Besides, this project is a preparing to post-war recovery of the country, by creating and preparing the new industrial site for the further private foreign business involving. Its successful realization will improve the investment attractiveness of Lviv community.

As Andrii Pavliv has defined, the head of the Department of Investments and Projects of the Department of Economic Development of Lviv city council, the concept of IP defines the main requirements to the participants (residents) of industrial park. In particular, they have to belong to the branches of the processing industry, to be export-oriented enterprises with registration of a legal entity on the territory of Lviv community, to have the approved financial ability and to arrange a shelter for their employees.

The development and presentation of concept were done in collaboration with Lviv city council as part of the Good Governance Fund project “Revitalization of the business climate in Ukraine”, which is implemented with the support of the government of Great Britain (UK Aid). The implementers of the project are Abt Britain and the Kyiv School of Economics.
