Leaders of the Council of Europe Development Bank visited the National Rehabilitation Center “UNBROKEN” in Lviv to implement joint projects

Lviv City Mayor Andriy Sadovyy, together with First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko, Deputy Mayor for International Cooperation Serhiy Kiral, and Director of Saint Panteleimon Clinical Hospital Yulian Golyk discussed with the leaders of the Council of Europe Development Bank the attraction of financing for the development of projects within the Unbroken Ukraine ecosystem of humanity and resilience, in particular the construction of a new surgical building and social housing.

During the meeting, the delegation of the Council of Europe Development Bank, which included directors of loan and grant financing, inspected the completed and project works of the rehabilitation center.

It should be noted that cooperation with Ukraine is one of the main goals of the CEB’s Strategic Framework for 2023-2027. The Council of Europe Development Bank aims to support projects for the recovery, reconstruction and long-term social development of Ukraine.

The Council of Europe Development Bank is a multilateral development bank that invests in the social sectors: education, healthcare, and affordable social housing. Its borrowers include governments, local authorities, banks, and non-profit organizations. On June 15, 2023, Ukraine completed the process of joining the Council of Europe Development Bank, becoming its 43rd member state.
