Lviv City Council signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Save the Children International organization to implement city social projects.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Lviv City Council and the international non-governmental organization Save the Children to implement joint social projects. Lviv City Council was represented by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy, First Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Andriy Moskalenko, and the Invest in Lviv team.

Prior to the signing of the memorandum, the Invest in Lviv team presented active social projects of the city of Lviv, including a project to build housing for IDPs, reconstruct a rehabilitation center in Bryukhovychi, and the St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital (Unbroken Kids), which also operates an educational institution for children. The priority area of cooperation between Save the Children and Lviv will be education projects.

Save the Children helps children in emergency situations. The organization was founded in 1919 and now operates in more than 120 countries, including Ukraine since 2014. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Save the Children has provided humanitarian aid and basic services to 802,546 Ukrainians, including 436,529 children. In Ukraine, Save the Children works in 7 oblasts, 24 regions and with 33 partners. In Lviv, since December 2022, Save the Children has opened 3 digital learning centers for children.
