Scope of the project. The project envisages the construction of an exhibition complex, including for exhibiting works of modern art.
Project goals. The development of the city of Lviv as a cultural capital through the creation of a center of concentration of gallery activity, holding art auctions, temporary expositions of mobile exhibitions, which will promote business tourism, among other things. The center will contribute to raising the general level of the gallery industry in Lviv; it will allow holding international cultural events with a high level of security.
The role of the state partner in project implementation.
In order to successfully achieve the objectives of the project, the state partner is ready to do the following:
provide all necessary findings and research for the project;
provision of land for long-term use;
provide assistance in obtaining the necessary permits;
to facilitate public discussions.
Analysis of the problem that is solved during the implementation of the project. Lviv is the cultural capital of Ukraine, but the city lacks enough infrastructure for this, which prevents the realization of the full capacity of the art market in Ukraine: there is no place to hold an auction, or exhibitions with security guarantees, etc.
PPP model: construction-financing-operation-maintenance-management.
This is a PPP project based on user payments. The investor will receive profit mainly due to the provision of the exhibition center and other related services: gallery services, auctions of works of art, temporary expositions of mobile exhibitions.
Plot location. The location of the intended object has not yet been determined.
For the implementation of the project, the city offers several options for land plots, including a plot of land in the central part of the city’s largest park – Stryisky.
