Representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) visited Lviv to prepare the UNBROKEN surgical building project

The Lviv City Council continues to advance the implementation of the new UNBROKEN surgical building project, designed by the world-renowned architect Shigeru Ban. This facility will become a key element of the UNBROKEN network, aimed at providing modern surgical services.

On September 11, a working meeting was held with representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC): Thomas Lübke, Olena Voloshyna, Iryna Novikova, and Oleh Kudashev. During the meeting, details of the project implementation were discussed, which foresees:

  • 6 floors of a modern hospital

  • 220 beds

  • 13 operating rooms

The implementation of the project will significantly expand opportunities for treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery for both military personnel and civilian patients.

To date, the following progress has been achieved:

  • Swedfund has allocated a grant of 4 million Swedish kronor for the development of the feasibility study (FS),

  • Deloitte has prepared a conceptual note,

  • The Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council has approved the preparation of the FS.

The next stage of the project involves signing agreements with partners and completing the FS within the framework of a public-private partnership mechanism.
