13 Dec 2023

On December 11 and 12, Lviv hosted an investment forum entitled “European Standards for Working with International Investors: How to Attract Private Investment Without Waiting for Reconstruction and the End of the War.”  The forum was attended by representatives from more than 10 Ukrainian communities.

The forum was opened by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy and Aneta Brzuzy, Director of European Projects Department of Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

During the forum, the Investments and Projects Office team, together with colleagues from the Economic Office and the Cities4Cities United4Ukraine initiative, presented investment opportunities in Lviv, including projects, programs, and vouchers for businesses from the Lviv City Council. The forum participants also visited the Sparrow Park Lviv, which has begun construction of its third phase and already has three residents, including the well-known Aurora Multimarket and PORT Lviv Logistic Center, one of the largest logistics centers in Lviv, developed by the well-known Ukrainian developer Alterra Group.

Over the course of two days, the forum participants studied the full cycle of investor support, from preparing comprehensive investment proposals to finding potential investors. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Investments and Projects Office Team of Lviv City Council shared their experience in building proper communication with potential investors, the importance of post-investment support for investors, optimizing the processes of cooperation between the community and the investor, including the creation of generators and databases of investment proposals, taking into account the specifics of the investor’s request, as well as visualization of these proposals on community investment portals.

The forum was organized with the support of the Lviv City Council and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
