Invest in Lviv and UNHCR continue to implement joint projects

On March 28, Lviv City Mayor Andriy Sadovyy met with the new head of the Lviv Field Office of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Omed Ayub to plan joint projects in the fields of medicine, culture, education, and other areas. The meeting took place for the first time after the appointment of Omed Ayub as the head of the Lviv Field Office of the UNHCR.

First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko together with the Head of the Lviv Investment Office Andriy Pavliv presented important projects of Lviv, which were implemented thanks to the support of partners. These are, in particular, the UNBROKEN Ukraine ecosystem and veteran centers, housing for the wounded, a large prosthetics workshop that will be opened in a few weeks, the “Unbreakable Mothers” center, and the UNBROKEN Cities Network. Also, together with the Invest in Lviv team, UNHCR representatives had the opportunity to visit the UNBROKEN Ukraine National Rehabilitation Center and assess the center’s needs and prospects.

Note that the following projects are being implemented in Lviv together with the UNHCR:
– financed the purchase of equipment, sanitary ware, ceiling, and the formation of an industrial covering in the Center for relocated businesses;
– purchased equipment and construction materials for the Employment Center for people with disabilities;
– financed the reconstruction of dormitories for the residence of IDPs;
– in cooperation with the social Protection Department, modular towns and hostels and Ternopilska street were provided with furniture, equipment, and humanitarian aid;
– within the framework of cooperation with the Invest in Lviv team, humanitarian aid was provided for relocated enterprises, in particular for the Rubizhan Hosiery Manufactory.
